Our Privacy Philosophy: "We do not want your data."
Sheep Sequence is designed to be a safe, focused experience. We have built the app to be "Privacy by Design," meaning we don't use servers to track your gameplay, and we treat all users with the highest level of privacy protection required for children's apps.
1. Age-Appropriate Experience
Sheep Sequence is a family-friendly app. To ensure the highest level of safety and compliance with the App Store Kids Category, we implement an age-gate upon first launch:
- Users Under 16: All third-party advertising and external links are completely disabled. No data is shared with advertising networks for these users.
- Users 16 and Older: Limited, family-safe advertisements may be displayed.
2. Data Storage and Usage
Sheep Sequence operates primarily locally on your device:
- On-Device Storage: Your high scores, game history, and sequence statistics are stored only on your local device. We do not transmit this personal gameplay data to any central server.
- Third-Party Contextual Advertising (Users 16+ Only): To keep Sheep Sequence free, we use Unity Ads for users over the age of 16. Our practices include:
- Strictly Contextual: We do not perform behavioral tracking or interest-based profiling. Ads are served based on the context of the app (a memory game) rather than user history.
- Human Review: We only partner with ad providers that certify their ad creatives undergo strict age-appropriate filtering and category blocking..
- Technical Safeguards: We utilize the "Tag for Child-Directed Treatment" (TFCD) and "Tag for Users under the Age of Consent" (TFUA) to ensure the advertising SDK operates in a restricted mode.
- G-Rated Content: All ad content is restricted to a "G" rating suitable for all audiences.
3. Children's Privacy (COPPA/GDPR-K)
We take children's safety seriously. Because Sheep Sequence is designed for all ages:
- We do not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, or locations.
- We do not allow social media integration or user-to-user chatting.
- We have disabled all behavioral advertising and tracking for all users.
- We do not transmit the IDFA (Identifier for Advertisers) to third parties.
4. Parents' Rights
As a parent or guardian, you have full control over the app's local data:
- Review and Deletion: You can view all stats in the "Player Hub." You can permanently delete this data at any time via "Player Hub > Manage Data > Wipe All Progress."
- Withdraw Consent: Deleting the app removes all local data and ceases all interaction with any third-party SDKs.
5. Data Sharing and Providers
We do not sell, rent, or trade any user information. We only partner with third-party service providers who certify compliance with COPPA and GDPR-K. Unity Ads may process limited, non-identifiable technical data (such as IP addresses for fraud prevention or frequency capping) solely for "Support for Internal Operations" as permitted under COPPA.
6. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes in the app or legal requirements. Significant changes will be noted via the "Last Updated" date above.
